IELTS Task 2 Band 9 Sample Essay
Major businesses are expected to contribute to society in the form of providing sporting and other communicative benefits. I strongly agree with this statement because it is their obligation to give back to people which can accelerate social prosperity.
Companies’ profit and revenue depends on people’s favour to their products and service; therefore, the businesses owe to the societies to give them back which could be in terms of donating infrastructure and services. This is resemblance to a win for both ends because a society is benefitted from the given facilities, and at the same time, the contributing company can project its presence to a wider group of prospective consumers. Furthermore, from the society’s point of view, it might be too difficult to build sporting arenas and other congregational event spaces spending people’s hard-earned money, whereas big farms can easily build structures that facilitate a community’s engagement, healthcare, education, and employment etc.
Not only assisting with economic problems, but also it stimulates the cultural activities. If there are no places to play sports or gather around, people cannot present their work, share their thought, and care each other more directly. In fact, getting together somewhere boosts up emotional attachment among the community members. Furthermore, having the facilities, they can invite music concerts or sport competitions when famous athletes or singers can cause an occasion to bring the people under an umbrella of togetherness which flourishes a community to its best.
To conclude, I believe that big businesses are obliged to provide the society such structural facilities that can help its members to thrive. This social contribution is beneficial to both companies and societies as businesses showcase their presence, and the people are assisted with finance and culture.
