Sample Report 1

The two images show the changes that have occurred in a specific location from 1965. Over the course of the fifty-six years, the town has seen significant development, evolving from a tiny village to a contemporary metropolis with more homes and apartment complexes. The installation of a road bridge that spans the river on both sides is the most obvious modification.


Only a few homes and a few trees could be found in the northeast and northwest of this riverfront region in 1965. Despite connecting highways on both sides of the river, the only way to cross it was by boat. Ample free, unoccupied spots were also available on both sides of the river.


In contrast, a road has been erected in the present image to replace the ferry, and a footbridge has been constructed over the river. On the east bank, there is a housing boom in addition to freshly constructed flats. A number of parking lots have also been created on both sides of the river to keep up with the other infrastructure development in the area, while the trees in the northwest corner of the Assford area have been removed. Overall, a tranquil green area is transformed into a densely populated concrete settlement.

Sample Report 2

The maps illustrate the significant changes to a specific area from 1965 to the present day. Overall, the area has undergone extensive development, including the construction of bridges, the addition of several residential and commercial structures, and the creation of multiple car parks, leading to improved connectivity and infrastructure.


In 1965, the area was divided by a river running from north to south, with a small residential area in the northeast and a woodland in the northwest. The road at the time crossed the river via a ferry service, as the central section was not fully constructed.


Today, the river is spanned by a new road bridge and a footbridge, enhancing access between the east and west. The woodland has been cleared to make way for a car park, and additional car parks have been established on either side of the river. The residential area has expanded significantly, with new houses and an apartment block built in the northeastern section. Meanwhile, the original residential block in the northeast remains unchanged. A new road bridge and a footbridge have replaced the ferry, and the area now features various car parks, including one near the footbridge. These changes reflect the area’s transformation into a more connected and developed urban space.

Sample Report 3

The maps provide information about transformations of a specific area between 1965 and now. Overall, there have been extensive changes in terms of building bridges and enhancing connection between west and east of the area, as well as the introduction of several car parks in different part of the city. Additionally, numerous more houses have been added to the area, whereas trees have been cut down.


In 1965, a river flowed through the centre of the area, stretching from north to south. Moreover, there was a small residential area in the top right of the area, while a woodland was located in the top left , in the vicinity of the north-eastern part of a road, which passed through the river, though its middle section is not built yet.


Over the period, the road has been removed to allow for a foot and road bridge, which link east of the area to the west. The northern part of the river is now bordered by a series of houses on its right and a large car park on the left. Another car park, though with a different shape, has been added to the right side of newly built residential area as well. An apartment block has been built at the very top of the area, while the residential block in the right corner has remained unchanged. There is another car park which is at the bottom of the area to the right of the foot bridge across from a few number of newly constructed houses near the road bridge.



Sample Report 4

The two maps show a number of obvious alterations between the area in 1965 and now. With the emergence of various facilities, the region has seen significant changes throughout time. A notable difference between the current image and the one from 1965 is the number of parking lots that have been built nearby.


The most obvious change from 1965 is the bridge across the river that crosses city roads. The riverside woodland is cleared, and a parking lot is built in its place. In the ferry area, a new footbridge is also built.


Additionally, while the Assford area has become somewhat crowded with additional dwellings; several new apartment buildings have been constructed close by. Between the two lodging facilities, a new parking lot is built alongside the river. Above all, the residential growth has eliminated all of the formerly available open space on both sides of the river.



Sample Report 5

The maps illustrate the transformation of a particular area from 1965 to the present day, highlighting significant developments in infrastructure and land use. Overall, the area has changed from a more natural landscape to a highly urbanized zone with improved connectivity.


In 1965, the area featured a river running north to south, with a woodland in the northwest and a small residential block in the northeast. At that time, crossing the river required a ferry, as there were no bridges. This natural landscape has undergone substantial change, as the woodland has been cleared to make way for a large car park, and new road and foot bridges have been constructed, replacing the ferry. This shift from relying on a ferry to using bridges has greatly enhanced connectivity and accessibility between the two sides of the river.


Furthermore, the residential area in the northeast has expanded significantly, with numerous new houses and an apartment block added, contrasting sharply with the sparse development seen in 1965. The transformation from a predominantly natural area with trees to a highly developed urban space with multiple car parks, new residential buildings, and modern infrastructure reflects the area's evolution from a rural setting to a more densely populated and connected urban environment.
