Sample Essay 1
The financial rewards enjoyed by celebrities in the entertainment and sports sectors often surpass those in other professions, a disparity that sparks considerable debate. I contend that while their compensation is high, it reflects market dynamics; however, other pivotal roles, such as educators and healthcare workers, merit greater financial recognition. This essay will examine the rationale behind the substantial earnings of high-profile entertainers and argue for higher remuneration in other critical professions.
Entertainers and sports stars command astronomical fees, primarily due to their ability to generate substantial revenue. For instance, a single blockbuster movie or a major sporting event can garner millions in profits, much of which is attributable to the star appeal of the individuals involved. These figures not only attract massive audiences but also bring in significant advertising revenue and merchandise sales, reinforcing their market value. Their earnings are a fraction of the overall financial ecosystems they sustain, which includes secondary revenues from streaming rights and international sales. Additionally, the careers of such stars are often uncertain and short-lived. The high compensation they receive can be seen as commensurate with the high risks and the temporary nature of their careers, balancing the instability and intense public scrutiny they face.
Contrastingly, professions foundational to society’s welfare, such as educators and healthcare workers, are undervalued financially. These essential roles ensure the long-term health and intellectual capital of society, yet their remuneration does not adequately reflect their vital contributions. Teachers not only impart knowledge and values to shape the futures of numerous children, they also frequently extend their support beyond academics to foster emotional and social development. Healthcare workers maintain the well-being of the population, often under highly stressful and demanding conditions. Their work requires immense expertise, dedication, and emotional resilience, starkly highlighted during the COVID-19 pandemic. This significant disparity highlights the mismatch between the value these professionals provide and their compensation, often leading to burnout and workforce shortages that threaten essential public services.
In conclusion, while the high earnings of entertainers and sports stars align with their market impact, crucial roles like educators and healthcare workers deserve enhanced financial recognition. Elevating their salaries would reflect their indispensable contributions to societal well-being and development.

Sample Essay 2
Celebrities in the entertainment industry are often excessively compensated, a stance I agree with due to its adverse societal effects. However, it's essential to also consider professionals in other fields who deserve higher wages, particularly those with high academic qualifications or in risky roles, like doctors and firefighters. This essay will discuss the issues with high celebrity salaries and suggest other professions that merit better pay.
There are two reasons why I believe that entertainers should not be paid too much money. The main reason is that it distorts the values toward lives, especially causing the public to overemphasize appearance or extravagant lifestyle. Singers, models, and movie stars, who have high income to wear luxury clothing, are good examples of this matter. The value they deliver to the public and the behaviours they conduct will pose a threat to the society. Another point supporting my idea is that it distracts younger generation from concentrating on their studies. When being aware that being famous can earn a certain amount of money, youngsters do not want to focus on their schoolwork anymore, further leading to lower labour productivity in the future.
Besides entertainers, two types of jobs need to pay high. First and foremost, jobs that require a high academic qualification should undoubtedly command higher salaries. For instance, doctors, professors, and lawyers, which need solid training and several years’ endeavour on their realm before earning degrees, should be paid much money for their competent professions. Secondly, those workers who engage in dangerous jobs should not be ignored. Polices, firefighters, and soldiers, who conduct risky tasks to ensure the public’s safety, should be paid highly due to their possibilities to get injury or even lose their lives. In other words, it is readily apparent that it is fair for those work in dangerous jobs to get a higher payment for the purpose of motivating people to keep doing these jobs.
In conclusion, I want to reiterate my opinion that entertainers should not be paid too much money because it results in negative consequences to the public. Moreover, workers with high academic qualifications and work in dangerous environment ought to receive higher payment due to their dedication to the community.
