The presented line chart illustrates a comparison of the cost of 800 grams of four distinct types of breads in a specific European nation over a span of six years, from 2001 to 2006.


A comprehensive examination of the graph reveals that the price of Wholegrain bread underwent a substantial decline over the specified period, following an initial sharp surge. In contrast, the prices of the other three brands exhibited a remarkable upward trajectory. Furthermore, it is noteworthy that all three bread brands shared the same starting point in 2001.


In further detail, the inhabitants spent 0.8 euros on Wholegrain bread and 0.6 euros on each of the other brands in 2001. However, the following year saw a sharp increase in the price of Wholegrain bread, which doubled to 1.8 euros, while the prices of Brown and White breads rose dramatically by almost 0.9 euros and 0.4 euros, respectively. In contrast, the price of Rye bread saw a slight decline, dropping to 0.5 euros during the same period.


Over the subsequent years, the cost of White and Rye breads improved annually, reaching 1.3 euros and 0.7 euros, respectively. Meanwhile, after reaching a peak in 2002, the price of Wholegrain bread plummeted significantly, only to return to its initial point at the end of the period. Conversely, the price of Brown bread surpassed the other brands and remained at the top position since 2003, fluctuating between 1.4 and 1.6 euros throughout the period.

Overall, it is evident that the prices of brown, white, and rye bread experienced a steady rise throughout the period, while the price of wholegrain bread displayed a volatile pattern. Notably, brown bread had the most significant price transformation among the four bread types.


In the year 2001, the cost of wholegrain bread was 0.8 euros, while the other three bread types were sold at a price of 0.6 euros per 800 grams. However, in the following year, the cost of these bread types increased drastically, and wholegrain bread reached a peak of 1.8 euros. During this period, the price of rye bread decreased slightly.


Between 2002 and 2005, the price of rye bread and white bread observed a significant increase, reaching 0.7 and 1.3 euros, respectively. In contrast, the cost of wholegrain bread dropped substantially by 1 euro in 2005. The price of brown bread fluctuated between 1.4 and 1.6 euros throughout this period, surpassing the other bread types since 2003, and remained the highest-priced bread until 2006.

Overall, the cost of all the forms of bread, except wholegrain bread, shows an increased tendency. Though wholegrain bread was the most expensive initially in the period, it was eventually overtaken by brown bread. However, rye bread always remained the cheapest option throughout the period.


Wholegrain bread was the costliest in a particular European country in 2001, costing 0.8 euros for 800 grams, and this figure increased significantly to 1.8 euros in 2002. However, it underwent a startling decline to just 0.7 euro in 2004, and it finally returned to the price level (0.8 euro) where it was in 2001.


On the other hand, in 2001, the pricing for rye, white, and brown bread was the same at 0.6 euro. In 2005, the cost of white bread soared to 1.3 euros, more than the double of its original cost. Furthermore, the price of brown bread substantially increased in 2002, rising from 0.6 euro to 1.5 euros within just one year. Afterwards, from 2004 onwards, the price of brown bread dropped to 1.4 euros at first, then rose to 1.6 euros, and finally in 2005, it surpassed all other varieties of bread in terms of price. However, the price of rye bread remained mostly stable and always stayed the cheapest option, its price kept oscillating between only 0.5 and 0.7 euro throughout the entire period.

Wholegrain bread was priced at 0.2 Euros higher than the other three types of bread in 2001, experiencing a meteoric rise and recording a hike of 1 Euro a couple of years later, before reaching its zenith. However, it began to decline after 2003 and stabilized at the same rate as it was in 2005. The price of rye bread was equal to that of brown bread in 2001, 2003, and 2004, with a slight dip prior to that. However, in late 2004, the price experienced a growth spurt, reaching 0.1 Euros.
