It is evident that the dynamics of male and female workers in several employment sectors of the Republic of Freedonia underwent significant changes over the two decades.


A broad overview reveals a pronounced shift in the employment landscape, with a notable surge in female participation across several sectors, challenging the male-dominant status quo of the earlier period. By 1995, women had not only narrowed the employment gap in traditionally male-led industries but had also overtaken men in certain fields.


Delving into the specifics, the manufacturing sector in 1975 showed a stark gender disparity, favouring male workers who numbered over twice that of female workers. Similarly, the finance/banking, wholesale and retail trade, and both public sector divisions displayed a strong male majority. Fast forward to 1995, and the narrative alters significantly, particularly in communications and wholesale & retail trade, where female workers now surpass their male counterparts. Finance/banking and the public sector (non-defense) also witness a balance being struck between the genders.
