IELTS Task 2 Band 9 Essay Sample

The vast majority of people continue to live close to where they were born. The sensation of security is the fundamental cause of this phenomena. However, even while they may initially profit from remaining in their comfortable home, where they are frequently surrounded by their loved ones, they will ultimately miss out on amazing possibilities for real-world learning.

Native locations provide people a sense of security since they are the most familiar places. They experience unmatched mental serenity and comfort since they are surrounded by their family, loved ones, and familiar surroundings. Therefore, they do not desire to exchange the place of birth for anything else. Living close to one's original land also provides a fantastic chance to keep a strong family relationship alive since it enables family members to communicate and share everyday activities and pastimes. Although modern communication technologies may allow people to be in constant contact with their relatives, it can never provide the same degree of advantages as living with or near family members.

Although there are numerous advantages to staying close to one's hometown, those who are confined to their birthplaces would lack the difficulties necessary to spark their ongoing personal development. In other words, being close to one's birthplace prevents one from acquiring life skills like the ability to face and overcome obstacles on one's own. Additionally, going to undeveloped locations might boost a person's opportunity to interact with superiors, mission-aligned, and highly driven individuals. These possibilities and skill sets are too valuable to be exchanged for a life of comfort and security at home. Therefore, it follows that staying in one's hometown might hinder both personal and professional development.

Simply expressed, the advantages of living close to one's original land include a sense of security, strengthened family ties, and a stress-free way of life. The ability to start from scratch and overcome obstacles on one's own in a foreign environment, however, is a crucial life skill that cannot be learned in the place of one's birth.

IELTS Task 2 Band 7 Sample Essay

Some people tend to stay close to their hometowns where their families or friends live. Maybe because being in their comfort zone make people feel emotionally stable, safe and confident. However, staying in where too familiar for long time could hold you back missing out on growth opportunities.

The main reason is that being stable and confident by staying close to comfort zone minimizes risks of everything they tackle, as everything such as activities, foods and relationships is familiar with them. In addition, when they have less risks to anything to try, they become more confident with their jobs or lives. Furthermore, there are also some advantages of living close to places where your families live. First one is family support. For instance, when you open your own restaurant in your hometown, your future customers are your neighbours, family and friends. And they are willing to advertise your business to other people. Also, living a place as a local itself gives people a sense of securities and peace, whereas living as a stranger is never easy and need to be prepared.

On the other hand, there are a number of disadvantages that must not be ignored. Residing in the same place for a long time could be at the expense of an opportunity to be fully independent and grow up. For example, as we live close to our family and friends, we should help each other at least once. Helping our people could be, sometimes, burden for us, especially financial-wise, also it is the same other way around. Getting help always makes us spoiled and stops us to grow up to be mature.

In conclusion, living close to where we were born has a great deal of advantages, such as being emotionally stable by getting family support. However, people could depend on their community too much and not be able to improve to be advanced in their life.
