IELTS Task 1 Map Band 9 Sample Report (1)
The provided maps offer a visual representation of the transportation infrastructure modifications that took place between 2007 and 2010 at a city hospital. The changes implemented included the construction of a new bus station, new parking facilities, and new roundabouts.
In general, the maps demonstrate that significant changes were made to the transportation infrastructure surrounding the city hospital between 2007 and 2010. These changes involved the establishment of new parking facilities, a new bus station, and the installation of roundabouts to enhance access to the hospital.
On a thorough examination of the maps, it is evident that in 2007, three bus stops were present on either side of Hospital Road. However, these were removed in 2010, and a new bus station was established on the western side of Hospital Road. To access the bus station, two new roundabouts were installed - the first located at the intersection of City Road and Hospital Road, and the second at the end of Hospital Road, connecting to the hospital ring road.
Furthermore, the maps highlight modifications made to parking areas used by staff and visitors. In 2007, the same car park was used by both staff and visitors, situated on the eastern side of Hospital Road and accessible via the ring road. However, by 2010, the original car park was designated for staff only, and a new car park was established on the eastern side of the ring road to accommodate public parking.

IELTS Task 1 Map Band 9 Sample Report (2)
The presented maps showcase the transformations made to the road access leading to a city hospital from 2007 to 2010.
Upon closer examination, it becomes evident that the majority of the changes occurred in three specific areas: a new bus station, two roundabouts, and a separate car park for public access.
In 2007, the hospital was encircled by Ring Road, which connected to City Road via Hospital Road to the south. In this configuration, there were three bus stops on either side of Hospital Road, and there was a car park for both staff and visitors located to the east of the Ring Road.
However, by 2010, two roundabouts were added to ease traffic flow, one at the intersection of Hospital Road with Ring Road and the other at the intersection with City Road. In addition, the staff-only car park was relocated to the east side of the Ring Road, while a new car park was constructed exclusively for public use.
The most notable change was the replacement of the previous bus stops by a new bus station on the west side of Hospital Road. The bus station is now accessible via the two new roundabouts, which provide a more convenient transport infrastructure for commuters.
IELTS Task 1 Map Band 8.5 Sample Report
The provided maps depict the modifications that occurred at a city hospital between 2007 and 2010, with transportation being the most significant aspect of change, involving the establishment of additional public parking, the construction of a new bus station, and the installation of new roundabouts.
Upon closer examination the maps, it is evident that the majority of the hospital itself underwent minimal change. The roads that encompassed the hospital, such as Ring, City, and Hospital Road, remained largely the same. However, two minor lanes were constructed off Hospital Road, connecting to the newly constructed bus station. Additionally, roundabouts were installed on either end of Hospital Road, at the intersections with Ring and City roads.
The most prominent changes occurred in the surrounding areas of the hospital, with parking being the most significant. In 2007, a small parking lot existed along Hospital Road, catering to both staff and the public. However, by 2010, the decision was made to segregate public and staff parking. A new public parking area was established along the eastern side of the hospital, while the original parking lot was reserved exclusively for staff use.
IELTS Task 1 Map Band 8 Sample Report
The maps illustrate the route taken to reach the city hospital in 2007 and after its development in 2010.
Overall, in addition to the expansion of parking facilities, there were some noticeable improvements in the road structure and public transportation system.
First, let's look at the development of the roads and the public transportation system. By 2010, two roundabouts had been built at the Hospital Road junctions with the Ring Road and the City Road. To create room for a new bus station with access to both roundabouts, the bus stations that were formerly on the west side of Hospital Road were also eliminated.
In terms of the modifications to the parking facilities, a brand-new parking lot was constructed to the east of the hospital, which was divided from the employee's parking lot and had access to the Ring road. The bus stops on the east side of Hospital Road were also demolished to create room for the newly expanded staff parking lot, which is accessible to hospital personnel through Ring road.
