IELTS Task 2 Band 9 Essay Sample (1)

There is an argument whether a proper training can shape a person’s future, or it is the aptitude that decides their success in the areas like sports and arts. However, this essay believes that not only natural talent that brings success, but also a proper training and hard work can contribute to shape a child’s career. In this essay, I am going to elucidate both views, and my opinion afterwards.

Some people think that a person with a special talent can easily reach their goal and create a richer life for themselves. In fact, natural talent is just like a genetic factor, which makes people have a higher starting point than others, eventually leading them to flourish their personal career in their early age. People who are gifted with excellent drawing skills, fitness etc. can easily excel in the fields of arts and sports. For example, the celebrated soccer star Ronaldo and the famous artist Picasso, both of them used their natural instincts to achieve their dreams in a short period. As a result, they transcended the global arena and acquired the greatest rewards in their respective fields.

On the other hand, it is an established truth that skilled people like a sportsperson, or an artist can be made with effective guidance and regular practices. In fact, anyone can be successful if they are hardworking and provided with proper directions. For example, Kungfu, a Chinese special martial art form, is a world-famous art, and the people who possess it go through a regular gruelling training since their childhood. This scenario illustrates that success depends on how much effort someone puts, and there is no way that people could be born with those incredible moving techniques and endurance capabilities. Therefore, regardless of the talents, training is the key which can make anyone successful.

In conclusion, both the arguments have their own merits and demerits. In my view, many people are born with natural talents, but only a few of them can shine, whereas most of the successful people are the ones who worked hard in their life. Therefore, not only the natural talents, rather it is the proper training that helps people to nourish their skills and accelerate towards the top.

IELTS Task 2 Band 9 Essay Sample (2)

There is an argument whether a proper training can shape a child’s future, or it is the aptitude that decides his/her ultimate success in the areas like sports and arts. Admitting some inevitable rewards of the natural gifts like mellifluous tone, creativity, and fitness, this essay believes in training and hard work which can eventually outperform inherent talents.

People with natural talents enjoy a comparative advantage over the others who do not possess it, because if a person is naturally talented, he or she is already well advanced in both ways; naturally made for the concerned career and capable to learn fast to garner further success. For instance, a singer with mellifluous voice can naturally produce soothing music, whereas it is almost impossible for a person with a hoarse tone. Also, in some sports like basketball and volleyball, where natural agility and body height are important criteria, people with natural gift can easily outperform others, and use the extra time to excel further. In fact, there are hundreds of evidence where someone became a star artist or sportsman without any institutional learning, and it is the natural skills that made it possible.

Meanwhile, this is also an established truth that a sportsperson or an artist can be made with effective guidance and regular practice. In fact, anyone can be successful if they are hardworking and provided with proper directions. For example, Kungfu, a Chinese special martial art form, is a world-famous art, and the people who possess it go through a regular incredible training since their childhood. In fact, there is no way that people could be born with those incredible moving techniques and endurance capabilities that are applied in Kungfu. This scenario illustrates that success depends on how much effort someone puts. Therefore, regardless of the talents, training is the key which can make anyone successful.

In conclusion, both the arguments have their own merits and demerits. In my view, many people are born with the must require talents for many areas like sports and arts, but only a few of these people can outshine others, whereas most of the hardworking ones succeed in life resorting to their relentless perseverance. Therefore, it is the training that helps people to nourish their skills that lead them towards transcending the challenges.
