An overview of the data reveals that the youngest and oldest age brackets generally showed the most significant growth in car ownership over the five years. Notably, the youngest age group (18-29) consistently held the highest percentage of car ownership, with a sharp increase in the final year.


Examining the data in detail, the 18-29 age group began with approximately 22% ownership in 2010, escalating to around 43% by 2014. This group's car ownership showed a steady increase throughout the period, with the most pronounced rise occurring between 2013 and 2014, jumping by over 10 percentage points. In comparison, the 46-55 age group demonstrated a robust growth pattern, starting from just under 15% in 2010 and soaring to 35% in 2014. This age group's ownership nearly tripled over the five-year span.

Additionally, the age group 30-45 saw a different pattern; car owners of this age group accounted for about 20 percent in the first three years, which suddenly jumped up to 35 percent in 2013, followed by a slight fall to roughly 33 percent in 2014.
