Dear Editor,

I am writing to express my enthusiasm for your upcoming article, "The Book that Influenced Me Most," and to share my personal journey with a book that left an indelible mark on my life, "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor E. Frankl. This profound work, penned by a Holocaust survivor, delves into the psychological analysis of human resilience amidst the most harrowing circumstances. Frankl’s experiences in Nazi concentration camps and his development of logotherapy, a form of existential analysis, form the crux of this compelling narrative.

The profound impact of this book on my life is immeasurable. Frankl's insights into finding purpose and meaning in all forms of existence, especially suffering, reshaped my perspective on life’s challenges. His philosophy that our primary drive in life is not pleasure, but the discovery and pursuit of what we find meaningful, has been a guiding beacon in both my personal and professional endeavors. This paradigm shift encouraged me to face adversities with a renewed sense of purpose and understanding.

I firmly believe "Man's Search for Meaning" possesses a universal appeal, capable of inspiring a diverse readership. Frankl's experiences and insights transcend cultural and temporal boundaries, offering profound wisdom on the human condition that is relevant in any era. This book not only provides historical context but also serves as a timeless guide to finding personal meaning in life’s most challenging moments.

Warm regards,

Jordan Smith

Dear Editor,

It is with great pleasure that I contribute to your insightful article, "The Book that Influenced Me Most," by sharing my experience with a literary masterpiece that profoundly shaped my worldview: "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. This iconic novel, set in the Deep South during the 1930s, masterfully weaves themes of racial injustice, moral growth, and compassion through the eyes of a young girl, Scout Finch, as she observes her father's valiant efforts to defend a black man unjustly accused of a crime.

Harper Lee's narrative had a transformative effect on me, nurturing a deep sense of empathy and justice. Atticus Finch's integrity and his commitment to equality and truth, despite societal pressures, instilled in me the courage to stand up for my beliefs and the importance of viewing the world through others' perspectives. This book was a catalyst in shaping my moral compass, guiding my actions and decisions towards fairness and understanding.

I am confident that "To Kill a Mockingbird" has the potential to leave a lasting impression on others as well. Its timeless themes and powerful depiction of human dignity and ethical dilemmas resonate across generations, making it a beacon of enlightenment in our ongoing discourse on equality and human rights.

Yours sincerely,

Emily Thompson

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing with reference to your request from readers’ contributions for the article called “The book that influenced me most”. I would like to grasp this opportunity to express my opinion on the book called “The most important thing”.

As a regular reader of your magazine, the book that I highly recommend is about the 20 most uncommon senses and mindsets in investing written by Howard Marks, the founder of Oak Management Fund. In fact, many Wall Street traders take it as an investing bible, and not to mention that Warren Buffer read it twice.

At first, I read this book to pass my leisure time. However, after skimming through the preface of the book, I am riveted to the assorted insights and warnings which the author shares with the investors. To be honest, the book not only reshapes my investing strategy during market fluctuations but also builds up my critical thinking in valuing and recognizing the stock market risks.

Therefore, I am a firm believer that reading this book would be helpful for beginners or professionals to establish and readjust their perspectives in investing through author’s disclosure without reservation about his lifetime knowledge as a deep market participator.

I would highly appreciate if you can review my contribution. Should you have any further information, please feel free to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Sara Ali

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter with regard to the article called ‘The book that influenced me most’.

There is a book that impacts on me significantly, called ‘Kim Jiyoung, born in 1982’. This book is talking about a life of a woman in Korea. Kim Jiyoung is one of the common names for a girl, which means that Kim Jiyoung on this book is representing all the women in Korea back in 1980’s. In this era, women used to be unfairly treated by their families, specially grandmothers just because they were women.

This book influenced me as well as lots of women in Korea and Japan, because this is a very first book of talking about gender discrimination with familiar stories which quite commonly happened in Korea society. Actually, this book had lots of issues when it came out to the world by lots of Korean men who were against feminism. Even so, this book was a best seller for long time and made into a movie.

“Kim Jiyoung, born in 1982” has already impacted on a lot of people all across Asia, now it is time to let other continents’ people know about this book. I believe that most of countries used to have this kind of gender discrimination long time ago, and who knows, may be still going on. I hope people get positive influence by reading this book.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Sara Hasan
